New games in 2027: Fable, Final Fantasy 7, and (maybe) GTA 6 on PC

This is where I'd put the GTA 6 PC release date, if we had one.
I've made peace with our 2026 list and accepted that a few of my most anticipated releases may wind up on our new PC games 2027 calendar instead. That's good news for me — legend has it I cannot be slain by my enemies until I've played Gen Atlas, Blight, and The Expanse RPG. Oddly specific win conditions, I know.
My picks remain dateless, much like Grand Theft Auto 6 on PC, but other 2027 release dates are starting to trickle in with Fable, Exodus, and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation among the early headliners. Here's hoping your favorites get penciled in soon, too. Until then, here's our new PC games 2027 calendar.

New PC games to watch in 2027
Fable
Steam | February 23
Fable went from a 2025 release to Autumn 2026, and now we're here. Since Microsoft keeps shuttering studios left and right, I've got little faith that anything under the name is safe, but director Ralph Fulton says Fable isn't on the chopping block. I'll remain cautiously optimistic until February.
Exodus
Steam | April 7
Archetype Entertainment — founded by BioWare veterans — is working on its big space adventure set to debut at the start of 2027. After EA shut down BioWare it's impossible to ignore how Mass Effect-like the game looks, so here's to hoping it captures some of that beloved RPG magic.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation
Steam | April 8
After a thematically appropriate seven-year wait, the FF7 remake trilogy concludes in 2027 with Revelation. It's the first time PC players get to join the party at launch, and it's shaping up to be a big one with all of my childhood enemies in attendance. Looking at you, Ruby Weapon.
Grand Theft Auto 6 (PC)
Site | PC date TBD
Another year, another instance of Grand Theft Auto 6 making it into our new game release calendar. The console version squeezes into 2026 at the last minute, but we still don't have an official PC release date just yet. Surely Rockstar wouldn't leave us behind until 2028, right? Right?

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.
Andrea has been covering games for nearly a decade, picking up bylines at IGN, USA Today, Fanbyte, and Destructoid before joining the PC Gamer team in 2025. She's got a soft spot for older RPGs and is willing to try just about anything with a lovey-dovey "I can fix them" romance element. Her weekly to-do always includes a bit of MMO time, endlessly achievement hunting and raiding in Final Fantasy 14. Outside of those staples, she's often got a few survival-crafting games on rotation and loves a good scare in co-op horror games.
